Dessert national park is a vast desert area which is home for many rare species including dessert fox, desert cat, reptiles, GIB & other raptors.

how to reach: a) reach jaipur & take flight or train b) reach ahmedabad & take flight or train

Best way to reach: reach jaipur & take flight. Ahmedabad airport is very big & more chances of flight getting delayed, whereas jaipur airport is considerably small & no hassle.

Travel from jaisalmer: flight time is around 1.5 hours & i took 'truejet' which is very cheaper too. After reaching jaisalmer airport we had our driver of uras khan waiting to pick us. from jaisalmer airport DNP stay is around 50 minutes only.

Note: Jaisalmer airport is a defence property & commertial air service is just a small part of it, so you can see tight security around. Also u can't find any commercial stores once you leave the jaisalmer city so its advisable to purchase required stuffs (eatables, toiletries etc) before starting for DNP.

how many days needed: you need minimum 2 full days (except to & fro travel) to spend in DNP. If time permits spend 1 day in netsi. But i will recommend 4 days in DNP if you need not to miss any species.

Cloths to carry: Boots or hard shoe is must as you may get down from vehicle & walk little for photographing species.

summer: its gonna be very hot 40 degree + & you will be travelling in a non AC vehicle for safari so better be prepared.

Winter or october - december: it wil be medium cold during early morning n post sunset so better carry a monkey cap/scarf/jacket.

Food: you will get both veg & nonveg - roti,rice, egg, chicken,paneer,dal etc.
